JOSH ZISKIN
Owner/executive chef
Named one of America's "Hot Names Rising" by Zagat's Magazine in 2004, Josh Ziskin is known to Bostonians for his authentic Northern Italian dishes served at La Morra in Brookline, MA. Josh and his wife Jennifer lived in the Piedmonte region of Italy where they studied food and wine. They returned to Boston to open La Morra, named after the town where they lived.

Before branching out on his own, Josh worked as Chef de Cuisine at The Tuscan Grill in Waltham. Josh is a long-time resident of Brookline, where his family owned a frame store for more than 30 years just blocks away from La Morra's present location.

 

JENNIFER ZISKIN
Owner/General Manager
Jennifer is the Wine Director and co-owner of La Morra with her husband. Jennifer hand-selected La Morra's wine list and is constantly revising it with wines from small producers in Northern Italy. This husband and wife team collaborate on special wine dinners throughout the year, adding a greater appreciation of the food and wine pairings by inviting producers from Italy to speak about their wines.

Jen was initiated into the restaurant business when she was fifteen years old and is familiar with all aspects of the industry from bussing tables, serving food, bartending, marketing, and managing the front of the house. She has worked at many of Boston's fine restaurants such as Maison Robert, Chez Henri, Eight Holyoke and Aigo Bistro.
